The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) - James Dashner This book.

Ughhhh this book.

Characters? Flat
Writing? Snooze. (Ya ever hear of show-don't-tell, Mister Dashner?)
Plot? O.o I don't even know.

It just wasn't an enjoyable read for me. I was bored and just completely removed from the characters and their situation. If the MC would have been one of the characters killed off, my reaction would have been: oh. Well. I didn't even particularly care for Chuck, and he was supposed to be the one everyone cried over. And the thing that drove me crazy? For kids who are supposed to be the "best and brightest" mankind has to offer, they were mostly all just incredibly dim. I didn't see any kind of glimpse of brilliance from a single character. Even the whole "lead the Grievers (<-GRIEVERS. WTF EVEN) off the cliff" was cartoonish and something my three-year-old nephew might find clever. <br/>
